Fellowships at Home

Hebrews 10:24-25

24 "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Fellowships in our house continue even with such a limited number of guests. Perseverance continually encourages us to keep  on meeting with people despite the number. Still, face to face interactions create wonders!

Online Teaching is the New Normal

 One of the items in my prayer list for 2021 is to be given another opportunity to teach in the Graduate School. God is indeed a prayer-answering God! I had another batch of Chinese Ph.D. students and the virtual classroom was truly an avenue of learning and fun (during our short breaks) for our class. 

In the same way, my husband has regular teaching loads and he also enjoys facilitating the online classes with his Accounting students.

Resiliency even in the field of Education is a must. This pandemic cannot paralize the learning process of the students. Online teaching is the new normal. Life goes on! 

The Sweet Reunion

Thank God for allowing us to reunite with my sister's family from the South. We were so happy to see them again. My nieces and nephew are all growing up so fast. We miss our brother's family too! 

God is greater than the pandemic. Thank God that despite the travel restrictions and the cumbersome processing of travel documents,  we were still able to meet and celebrate even for a brief moment.

The Fussy Sleepers

Watching dramas together inspired me and Sim to have our sleeping uniforms. Thank God, somebody close to our heart volunteered to gift us with 2 pairs and another pair came unexpectedly and the number did not stop there (haha!). The comfort these uniforms bring really encourages us to sleep with smiles painted all over our faces. Yeah, truly comfy!

Blessed @ 42

 Years ago, I decided to celebrate my birthdays more purposefully by sharing the good news of salvation to my family and relatives. And this year, I chose to celebrate with our relatives from Mom's side. I am really in tears - tears of joy. It was the first time that we gathered again after years of separation due to family conflicts. God worked wonderfully. Praise God for the bond of peace! 

Thank you, Lord, for another year of blessings!  It is my greatest desire to honor You in my life. Be glorified!

Joyful Holidays!

The Christmas and New Year Holidays are undoubtedly the two of the most meaningful holidays during the calendar year. Yes, they are also the most expensive ones! We, Filipinos, don't mind because we always enjoy the spirit of giving and sharing. 

We would really love to go home for Christmas but due to travel restrictions we decided to stay home. Thank God, it was still a very happy celebration. Praise God for allowing us to go home for the New Year break!

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming into the world to save the world. Your love for the human race is truly amazing!

 Every time this special day comes, I always make it a point to go through a ton of mental exercise in order to come up with creative ideas just to surprise my husband Sim!

I have always been thankful and grateful to the Lord for Sim's life. As the days, months and years go by, I continually realize that God strategically placed me in a challenging and yet, very healthy relationship. 

As I always hear, "age is just a number" - true enough. What matters most is that we live one day at a time, having that consciousness that this life is so fleeting and temporary. So, every day we have to live for God and no longer for ourselves. Sim is a good example of a life who chooses to live for God each day.
