The exciting yet challenging and thought-provoking day in Ph.D life came when I was compelled to stand on my feet and deliver my emotional public lecture before the panel. Emotional in the sense that my tropic, "servant leadership" is dearly close to my heart. For me, Jesus is the greatest model of servant leadership and He is the greatest leader the world has ever known. Two weeks before the public lecture, God has spoken to me through His word that I need to establish my focus and all I have to do is to be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10). I have also been reminded with the verse in Isaiah 41:10. On that remarkable day, my family, closest friends and my brethren at Baguio Christian Center united in the Spirit and prayed for the success of my public lecture. I felt in my heart that these people stormed heaven with their prayers and indeed, it worked wonders. When the Dean announced my grade, all I can say is, "thank you Lord for you are so gracious!"

BLESSED 9!
You are awesome Lord in the past nine years of our marriage! We are more than grateful for the blessings and gifts as well as the challenges and battles we won in the last 12 months. You were there. You always see us through. It's always a brand new feeling of togetherness. Who can fathom the depth of your love for us that you are ever gracious? Sim and I are growing in every aspect of this life. Yes, nine years and still counting!

Amazing Grace Concert in Dimantal, Bugallon, Pangasinan
It's been nine long years since I started to hear wonderful workings of God's grace in the church here and in the life of the Christians in this simple and far flung yet wonderful place. Wonderful in the sense that you'll truly marvel as you imagine how people really survive and draw joy and strength despite its geographical location. People are very warm and the brethren received us well. Literally, palatable food flooded us. The eating fellowship was like a typical barrio fiesta and it was really fun and relaxing. As the concert went on, the presence of God was powerfully felt all over the venue. The people's hunger for God's Word and presence was all the more inspiring. Christians from as far as Aguilar and Bani, Pangasinan also came to fellowship with us. After the concert, select young people and couple like us got to play a running game which is often played by grade school kids. That night, I realized all the more that Sim and I will always be a kid at heart. Praise God for the success of this event. To God be all glory and honor!

Amazing Grace Concert in Calunetan, Sison, Pangasinan
It's truly a sweet memory to give back to the community where one has literally developed wings to fly freely in this life. Staging a concert in Calunetan brings back wonderful thoughts especially to my dearest husband Sim. Glory to God for the success of this four-hour event that showcased the gifts of the brethren from Baguio Christian Center as they sang, danced, and performed human videos dedicated to the Lord and served as inspiration and encouragement to the people of Calunetan.

FAMILY
People wonder about the depth of our ties
Well, it’s where our success and legacy lies
It all began when our father taught us values
Loving each other adds to life’s lovely hues
Sticking to the family is a challenging thing
Especially when one develops his own wing
But daily circumstances continually reveal
That it’s always best to remain and be still
Each family member has its unique identity
We have to learn to love them unselfishly
Time flies by so swiftly and old age is a reality
Destiny will always lead us to our own family
So the message of this poem is very simple
Show love and care while time is still ample
Always remember that regret is simply vain
It’s a fact that time lost can never be regained

Mama Adel’s Surprise Diamond Birthday Celebration
Mama’s birthday celebration was like a touching movie. It was a concoction of comedy and drama. Things were orchestrated wonderfully by no less than the children and the siblings and directed by the eldest daughter. The memories especially when Mama got down from the car with an aura full of queries about what’s going on around her will be forever etched in our hearts. We made sure that everyone important to her was there. The fun and excitement on Mama’s special day was just a small way of letting her know how much we love and adore her. Unlike a movie that ends too soon, we are praying earnestly that God will give her an abundant life and that we will all enjoy her company until our white hairs show up…

What Success Means To Me
Many people measure success in quantity.
But, I must say we should also consider quality.
What is success if you are feeling unhappy?
And all things around you seemed baloney?
Real success is something that enlivens you.
It’s an achievement that creates fire in you,
To do things that you’re passionate about,
And not pretend to be someone you’re not.
To me, success is to spend a lifetime with you.
Create memories and make dreams come true.
To serve the Lord together as husband and wife,
Together we’ll combat the challenges and strife.
Success is felt when I wake up and look at you.
When I sleep and just hold your hand gently.
You’re the greatest blessing I received from God.
